Sun Microsystems Java Runtime Environment (JRE) or IBM JRE
JRE version 1.5.x or higher must be installed
Installation Instructions
The following installation steps are valid for both Microsoft Windows and UNIX/Linux platforms.
1. On your IBM Cognos 8 BI server, copy the downloaded zip archive into the directory /bin/utilities.
2. Extract the archive file. Make sure that the directory structure from the archive file remains the same.
3. After extracting you should find the directory /bin/utilities/disp/diagnostic.
This directory should contain these four files:
ddt.bat ddt.sh DispatcherDiagnosticTool.jar IBM Cognos 8 Dispatcher Diagnostic Tool.pdf
4. On On UNIX/Linux make sure you have set the environment variable JAVA_HOME to an existing Sun Microsystems Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 1.5.0_xx directory before starting the tool.
